A
Tale of Two Eras:
Family Combines Tradition with Green Building Techniques
in Aesthetically and Functionally Unique
Home

If the walls, ceilings and bricks used in the quaint purple
farmhouse in Southern Alamance County could talk, the
stories they would tell would be rich in the history of
people who worked and lived in textile mills, an old
service station, a church rectory and vintage farmhouses.
The stories would be of ordinary people going about their
day-to-day activities in these beautiful old buildings - of
walking down creaky wood floors, opening and shutting heavy
wood doors, looking up at bead board ceilings and
anticipating the squeak and thud of the screen door opening
and then closing behind them...
